Government to Open Insurance Market: Deputy Prime Minister Supachai Panichpakdi said the market will be opened to new companies to promote better service. Supachai said the action is necessary because the economy has been growing so fast--averaging more than 8% annually since 1987--and should continue near that pace for the next few years.
