A party held by a Thousand Oaks teen-ager ended in violence early Saturday when 15 gang members broke windows, brandished a gun and beat up a party-goer, officials said.
About 150 teen-agers, including two known gang members, were at a party on Westbury Court in Thousand Oaks when 15 people claiming to be from a rival gang began breaking the windows, Ventura County sheriff’s officials said.
When one of the party-goers, an 18-year-old youth from Thousand Oaks, went outside, an alleged gang member pulled a gun, sheriff’s officials said. The gang member then struck the 18-year-old in the chin with the gun handle and left the scene, officials said. The victim was not hospitalized.
Sheriff’s officials said they have not made any arrests in the case, but it is under investigation.
