The California State Employees Assn. will host a Father’s Day picnic featuring a speech by gubernatorial candidate Kathleen Brown from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Woodley Recreation Center, near Burbank Boulevard and Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys. Activities will include face painting, lunch, music, softball and various contests. Brown is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children. Information: (818) 879-7488.
