WASHINGTON — Carol DiBattiste, the Navy’s principal deputy general counsel, has been appointed by Atty. Gen. Janet Reno to become director of the Executive Office for U.S. attorneys. DiBattiste, 42, the first woman to head the office that provides support to the 94 U.S. attorneys’ offices, is a former assistant U.S. attorney and Air Force prosecutor.
