Two young men, described as being clean-cut and in their 20s, are suspected of being involved in a series of muggings in the last two weeks in the Tarzana area, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
Witnesses reported that the two men carried a .45-caliber handgun and drove a pale yellow Cadillac, said Senior Lead Officer Ken Knox.
The latest in the series of three muggings occurred Thursday morning in the 4800 block of Brewster Avenue, where a female real estate agent was waiting for her clients outside a house.
The first occurred in the 4000 block of Reseda Boulevard, when the suspects allegedly stole a woman’s purse containing more than $3,000. The second took place last Friday about 4 p.m. and involved a female county prosecutor who was jogging near Braemar Country Club.
Knox suggested that residents refrain from jogging or walking alone until the suspects are arrested.
