Officials searching for witnesses to a stabbing that occurred in Thousand Oaks last week are offering $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
A 21-year-old man was in the parking lot of a Thousand Oaks convenience store on Thousand Oaks Boulevard on June 3 when he was approached by a man who accused him of entering gang territory, according to a statement from Ventura County Crime Stoppers.
Another man then approached the 21-year-old, stabbed him, pushed him down and kicked him in the head several times, the statement said.
The two suspects retreated to a black Honda Accord that was driven by a woman, the statement said. The victim received several stitches and was released from the hospital.
