VAN NUYS — Police are looking for a man they suspect of shooting his longtime girlfriend to death, authorities said Friday.
Officers responding to a phone call from a relative of Victoria Zamora, 28, found her dead Friday in the Van Nuys home she shared with Eduardo Perez, 29, said Sgt. John Fleming of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division. Zamora and Perez lived in the 6200 block of Fulton Avenue with Zamora’s two children.
Fleming said Zamora had been shot on Wednesday.
The relative told police that a friend had called, said Zamora was dead and implicated Perez in the crime, Fleming said.
The weapon, believed to be a large caliber handgun, has not been recovered, Fleming said.
Zamora’s children have been vacationing in Mexico with her family, police said.
