Two free lectures aimed at helping the parents of teen-agers are scheduled this month at the Laguna Hills Hospital and Mental Health Center.
On Thursday at 7 p.m., Jan Tanner will present “What to Do With a Bored Teen-ager.” She will address why teen-agers become dissatisfied and how parents can develop esteem-boosting activities to make their teens’ summer enjoyable.
Tanner also will give a talk on “How to Raise a Teen-age Rebel” on June 23 at 7 p.m. She will look at the roots of teen-agers’ rebelliousness and how parents can get their teen-agers to talk to them.
The hospital is at 24552 Pacific Park Drive. To make reservations, call 831-1800, Ext. 268.
