Palimony Case

Re “For Richer or for Poorer,” by Marlene Adler Marks, Commentary, June 1:
After years of incorrectly reporting the ultimate result of the Marvin vs. Marvin case, your newspaper, in recent years, has acknowledged that “the $104,000 finally granted (Michelle Triola)” was actually taken away from her by the California Court of Appeal, and that both the California Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court refused to overturn that decision. In fact, the only monetary award that finally arose out of the case was an award of costs to Lee Marvin in the amount of several thousand dollars, which he graciously declined to enforce.
