Boy, 2, Dies After Fall Into Pool

NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A 2-year-boy died about an hour after he was plucked from a swimming pool that he fell into Monday, authorities said.
The unidentified victim was pulled from the pool by family members at a house in the 8000 block of Strathern Avenue, said Brian Humphrey, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman. No one witnessed the accident, Humphrey said.
The child was placed on life support systems and taken to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in nearby Sun Valley, Humphrey said. He was pronounced dead at 3:45 p.m., a nursing supervisor said.
