Countywide : Blood Drive Linked to Marrow Donors

Residents donating blood at a local American Red Cross blood drive June 14 also will have a chance to become potential bone marrow donors for those who are critically ill with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases.
A Red Cross bloodmobile will visit the Community United Methodist Church in Huntington Beach on June 14 from 3 to 8:15 p.m. The church is at 6662 Heil Ave. Appointments to donate may be made by calling the Red Cross at (800) 974-2113.
Blood drawn from those who agree to be entered into the National Marrow Donor Program registry will undergo further testing for donor potential.
