SIMI VALLEY : Gas Station Clerk Injured in Robbery

Two men armed with a handgun charged into a Simi Valley gas station early Monday, struck the clerk on the head and ran away with a small amount of money, police said.
The men entered Thrifty Gas Station at 2211 Tapo St. at about 2 a.m. and forced the clerk to lie on the floor. After hitting the clerk more than once on the head, the suspects fled with less than $100, authorities said.
The clerk was treated for a minor head injury at Simi Valley Hospital and released, police said.
