News, Tips & Bargains : Network Installs ATMs in Moscow

The MasterCard/CIRRUS network has installed its first ATMs in Russia at three locations in Moscow: the Central Telegraph Office near Red Square; the Novoarbatskiy department store, Noviy Arbat 13, and at the Moscow International Airport. The machines, which have instructions in English, are dispensing dollars now, but will switch to rubles later. By the end of 1994, plans call for six more ATMs in Moscow and two in St. Petersburg.
