Miss out on last year’s tours of Buckingham Palace? Queen Elizabeth is giving you a second chance. The palace will be open from Aug. 7 through Oct. 2, when visitors will be able to see 18 rooms and part of the State Apartments.
Visiting hours are daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the last admission at 4:30 p.m. Admission is about $12 for adults, $6 for children under 17 and $8.25 for those age 60 and older. Tickets will go on sale daily at a booth in St. James Park, opposite the Palace. For a free information sheet on visiting the palace, contact the British Tourist Authority, (800) 462-2748.
