RENSSELAER, Ind. — The father of Siamese twins separated last summer is back behind bars, facing an auto theft charge less than two months after his release from prison.
Kenneth Lakeberg, 27, was being held without bond Saturday. He is accused of stealing a friend’s car. Lakeberg spent six months in prison after skipping a parole hearing in October.
He also admitted buying cocaine with about $1,300 of the money donated for his daughters’ medical bills.
His wife, Reitha, gave birth to conjoined twins on June 29, 1993. Amy and Angela Lakeberg were separated in August. Amy died and Angela remains in serious but stable condition.
