South Gate 6, Narbonne 2-- Teamwork was the keyword as South Gate defeated a feisty Gaucho team Wednesday at South Gate Park.

A Jesse Torres two-run double and an Edward Dominguez two-run pinch-hit single helped give South Gate a 6-2 lead in the sixth.

South Gate’s Richard Alcantar gave up eight hits, struck out five batters and got into trouble only after surrendering back-to-back doubles to Pablo Sanchez and Billy Dillon.

South Gate reliever Jose Montenegro retired the last three Gaucho batters, striking out the last two.
