A 35-year-old woman was killed late Tuesday when her car collided with a pickup truck, police said.
The accident occurred at Trabuco Road and Yale Avenue about 10:45 p.m., police Lt. Sam Allevato said.
Chu-saw Hsia of Irvine was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where she died.
The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old Marine stationed at the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, was not injured, but a passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries.
Police said Hsia’s car was traveling west on Trabuco and the pickup was heading south on Yale when the collision occurred.
“Someone ran a red light,” Allevato said. However, investigators have not determined which driver ran the red light.
