LOS ALAMITOS — Frank Doretti, long-time boys’ athletic director at Los Alamitos High, will retire when the school year concludes in June, football Coach John Barnes said Thursday.
Doretti has held the position for 21 years and was an assistant coach on the football team during that time. Doretti, who is also the golf coach, was head football coach for six seasons, compiling a record of 42-23-2 and reaching one Southern Section title game.
During his 34-year career, Doretti also has been a coach and teacher at Anaheim, Kennedy and Servite.
School officials are planning a retirement party for Doretti. For more information, contact Barnes or Cary Brody at 310-430-3511.
