7 Candidates for Municipal Judge to Be at Luncheon

Residents in Culver City and nearby areas will have an opportunity next week to meet the seven candidates vying for the vacant seat on the Culver Municipal Court bench.
Residents in the Culver Judicial District, which includes Marina del Rey, Ladera Heights, View Park, Windsor Hills and Culver City, on June 7 will elect a successor to Judge Harold Cherness, who announced his retirement after 19 years. Cherness will serve until the end of the year.
The candidates are Allan J. Goodman, Steven Gourley, Christine L. Harwell, Paul A. Jacobs, Victor Marin, Martin J. Murphy and J. Richard Pearce.
They have been invited to the Culver City Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon May 6 at noon at the Red Lion Hotel in Culver City. Admission for chamber members is $15 with reservations and $18 at the door. General admission is $20. Reservations: (310) 287-3850.
