SIMI VALLEY : City to Consider Countywide Bus Pass
- Share via
Simi Valley bus riders will be able to travel farther for the same amount of money if the City Council approves the use of a countywide pass at Monday’s meeting.
The passes would be good on Simi Valley buses, intercity buses and those in other cities that approve the plan. Several cities are considering approving the $34 monthly passes.
“The ease with which you can ride with a single pass and the new intercity service will likely increase ridership,” said Judy Collins, deputy director of Community Services for Simi Valley.
Collins said the Ventura County Transportation Commission plans to sell the new passes this summer when it starts its new intercity bus service. Money from the passes will be divided based on the number of riders within each city, she said.
