City Coaches to Reconsider Rule
A meeting of the Los Angeles Football Coaches Assn., representing City Section coaches, will be held at University High on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The group will discuss the possible repeal of a recently enacted City rule which eliminated spring seven-on-seven passing-league competition. Out-of-season teams presently are prohibited from practicing after school.
Before the rule was changed last year, many City schools participated in spring passing-league competition. However, some coaches have expressed a desire to return to the old format.
Under the existing rule, City schools may participate in passing-league competition from June 6 to July 17.
