Davstar Industries Ltd.: The Costa Mesa maker of disposable medical products said Wednesday it has raised $1 million to help launch its marketing program for a newly approved electrical device for incontinent women.
Davstar recently received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to sell the DriStar Incontinent Management System, which uses a small pump to pull urine away from a diaper-like pad worn by wheelchair- or bed-bound women.
The $1 million was raised through the sale of preferred stock to institutional investors.
