Creditors Move to Liquidate Cannon Pictures: Claiming to be owed more than $6 million, they have filed an involuntary bankruptcy petition against the independent distributor. Cannon this month announced that VMI Acquisitions has acquired control of the company. The largest creditor listed is Everyvision, a film financing consultant owed about $2.5 million. Separately, sources said French bank Credit Lyonnais is owed about $22 million. Cannon did not return calls.
