WESTCHESTER : Kentwood School Gets Grant for Gardening

Los Angeles Councilwoman Ruth Galanter has awarded a $250 grant to Kentwood Elementary School in Westchester for a gardening program run by students.
“This gardening program provides an important opportunity to foster a greater understanding for the kids about nature and the environment in an urban setting,” Galanter said.
The school recently received a contribution of lawn and garden products from the National Gardening Assn.
