I would like to give a sincere thank you to the gentleman who stopped to inquire if he could help an elderly couple stranded on the Ojai Freeway in their stalled auto. This incident took place the morning of April 5.
As my husband and I were waiting for a tow truck, this man offered to drive to the nearest public phone to cancel an appointment with a Ventura doctor, which he did. We neglected to get this man’s name but he was a resident of Meiners Oaks.
Incidentally, while waiting for help, a Ventura County sheriff’s car passed us by without a glance.
