MedGroup to Send Seats for Disabled to England

MedGroup Inc., an Encino-based provider of physical therapy services to hospitals and nursing homes, said next month it will distribute to England at least 200 car seats, designed to help disabled people get in and out of vehicles.

MedGroup said it has a waiting list of more than 1,000 customers seeking to rent or purchase the seats, some of which will be paid for by the British national medical plan.

MedGroup expects to boost its shipments overseas this year, after investing $1.5 million last year to buy 80% of the rights to the car seats from the English company that developed them.
