Man Found Shot to Death in Car

PACOIMA — An unidentified man was shot to death in his car Sunday on Foothill Boulevard near the Hansen Park Dam, authorities said.
The victim, described as a young Latino male, was found by police who responded to reports from nearby residents of shots fired shortly after 6:40 p.m., said Sgt. Gene Fretheim, of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Homicide investigators ruled out initial reports that the killing was the result of a traffic dispute, saying instead it may be gang-related, Fretheim said. The incident took place in the 11800 block of Foothill Boulevard, he said.
