WEEKEND TV : ‘Lifestories’ Examines Eating Disorders

The first installment of “Life-stories With Gabrielle Carteris,” a series of hourlong monthly specials based on an earlier HBO series, examines eating disorders, Sunday at 3 p.m. on KTTV-TV Channel 11.

Nearly 200,000 young women in the United States are victims of the binge-and-purge cycle of eating. Carteris’ guests include Mary Margaret, an apparently healthy teen whose eating disorder almost proved deadly.
