NORTHRIDGE — Pat Galan, a 6-foot-4 outside hitter from Reseda High, has accepted a scholarship to play volleyball at Cal State Northridge, his father said Thursday.
Galan is the first Reseda player to sign with the Matadors since middle blocker Coley Kyman chose to play for Northridge in 1990. Kyman became a three-time All-American.
Galan, who took up volleyball as a sophomore, was a second-team All-City selection last year.
Justin Hamilton, from Clovis High in Fresno, said he also has signed with Northridge. Hamilton, a 6-6 left-hander, has been converted from an outside hitter to setter.
