Ross Stores Inc.: The retailer said Tuesday that it will acquire six former Builder’s Emporium locations in Southern California, including three in Orange County, and convert them into its Ross Dress for Less retail outlets.
The company, based in Newark, Calif., said that in the next few months it will convert former Builder’s Emporiums in San Juan Capistrano, Costa Mesa, Lake Forest, Long Beach, Venice and Los Angeles. Bed and bath departments will be added to the new stores.
Ross Stores also said that its three San Fernando Valley stores damaged by the Northridge earthquake will reopen Saturday.
