Logicon Inc. Wins Major Contract: The Torrance-based provider of computer systems and services to the U.S. government won a $670.6-million contract from the Pentagon. The 10-year award calls for Logicon to provide equipment, software and training to help the Air Force modernize a variety of its computer systems, including those used for administrative functions, intelligence and command-and-control networks linking commanders with field operations. The contract is a major boost for Logicon, whose sales totaled $325 million in its fiscal year ended March 31, 1993.
