HUNTINGTON BEACH : Student Transfer Filing Begins April 18

Parents seeking to transfer a child from one school to another in the Huntington Beach City School District must apply between April 18 and 22, school officials announced.
Parents must file their transfer request at their child’s current school.
“Where requests for admission to a school of choice exceeds capacity, selection will be made through a random, unbiased selection process,” said John Conniff, the school district’s director of personnel and educational services.
Conniff said parents would be notified by May 6 whether their request has been approved.
He said parents who miss the deadline and apply for transfers after April 22 will be put on a waiting list.
