College Aide Sentenced in Misuse of Students’ Credit

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The personnel director of a community college was sentenced to 50 hours of community service for stealing student credit card numbers from school files and using them to call telephone sex lines.
Jeffrey Wallace, personnel director at Greenfield Community College, was charged with four counts of misuse of a credit card. He didn’t plead guilty but, in an action allowed under state law, he admitted Thursday to facts sufficient for a guilty verdict.
