Monday Deadline for Property Taxes

The second installment of 1993-94 property tax bills will become delinquent if not received by the county assessor by 5 p.m. Monday.
County Assessor Kenneth P. Hahn said the second installment will be deferred for property owners who have filed both an application for tax deferral and an application for reassessment due to damage from the Jan. 17 earthquake.
Property owners are responsible for paying taxes when due regardless if they have received a bill. Substitute tax bills are available at the assessor’s regional offices, which are listed in the phone book.
