Honors for ‘Unsung Heroes’

The Japanese American Historical Society of Southern California is accepting nominations for its fourth annual community service and achievement awards, which recognize the “unsung heroes” in the community.
Nominees should be organizations or individuals who have served the Japanese American community or promoted the Japanese American heritage through cultural and artistic achievements.
Nominees can be from anywhere in Southern California and are not limited to Japanese Americans. The entry deadline is May 27.
Five winners will receive $500 each at an awards dinner in September.
