Space Station Contract: McDonnell Douglas Aerospace of Huntington Beach said Friday that it has contracted with Minneapolis-based computer maker Honeywell Inc. to build a computerized command and control system for the nation’s proposed space station. Honeywell will be paid $129 million to design and construct the space station’s central computer, which would control the station’s complex electrical system, life support systems and communications equipment to transmit data back to Earth.
