Clinton Falls in Mud During Jog

WASHINGTON — President Clinton slipped and fell in mud during his regular morning jog Thursday.
The President, who was almost two miles into a three-mile run, slipped and fell on a muddy incline near the Tidal Basin in northwest Washington and soiled his long-sleeved white T-shirt, turquoise shorts and left leg.
“He slipped and fell and got right back up,” said a woman who ran with Clinton. “He got right back up and ran even faster.”
The President and members of a national running club ran three miles in just under 30 minutes on slippery conditions caused by a recent rainfall.
A free-lance photographer in the White House press corps who was taking pictures of the runners slipped and fell near the same area.
