Musick Gets 300th Victory

SANTA ANA — Santa Ana Valley Coach Herschel Musick celebrated his 300th victory after a nail biter that ended with the Falcons scoring all their runs in the seventh inning for a 5-4 Century League victory over Villa Park Wednesday at Santa Ana Valley High.
Musick, who started the school’s program in 1959, is 300-262-2.
With one out, Robert Serrano, who pitched a complete game, drove in Freddy Macias with the winning run after hitting a long drive that bounced off the right-field fence.
Santa Ana Valley improved to 7-7, 2-2. Villa Park dropped to 7-7, 1-3.
