DEAR SOS: Somerset Caters in Los Angeles prepares a wonderful salad of curried chicken and pasta that I would love to duplicate at home. Any chance?

DEAR KATHY: Certainly. It’s a wonderful meal-in-a-dish salad you can serve as a family meal or for company.
SOMERSET CURRIED CHICKEN AND PASTA SALAD
1 (2 3/4-pound) chicken, roasted
3/4 pound large pasta shells
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 cup diced celery
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Salt, pepper
1/2 cup mango chutney
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
Remove chicken meat from bones, discarding skin. Cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks and reserve.
In pot, cook pasta in boiling salted water until cooked al dente. Drain and chill. Set aside.
In bowl toss raisins, almonds, celery and green onions with chicken and pasta. Season to taste salt and pepper.
In bowl combine chutney, curry powder, mayonnaise and turmeric. Mix well. Add just enough dressing to lightly coat chicken, pasta and vegetable mixture. Reserve any remaining dressing for another use. Makes 6 servings.
