Musical Score: Music Source U.S.A. Inc. in Newport Beach, maker of a computer system that prints sheet music, said Wednesday that it has purchased the rights to a 10,000-song catalogue from a local independent music company. The company said it is purchasing the songs--most of which are from the ‘50s and ‘60s--from Crucial Generation Music Ltd. The catalogue is estimated to be worth more than $6 million. The purchase price for the catalogue was not disclosed. Music Source will offer customized albums of the Crucial Generation songs through duplication tape machines in record stores.
