SIMI VALLEY : Employers Sought for Youth Job Fair
- Share via
The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service is seeking businesses willing to participate in its eighth annual job fair.
The fair, scheduled May 7, is intended to help 16- to 22-year-olds find jobs and learn about careers, coordinator Sandra Thompson said.
“Young people get a chance to ask questions and learn about different possibilities, and employers get a chance to do some hiring,” she said. “It works out well for everyone.”
Last year, about 50 employers and 1,000 youths attended the fair, Thompson said.
Employers range from retail clothing and fast-food chains to large corporations and government agencies.
For information on participating in the job fair, call Thompson at 522-HIRE.
