UC Irvine Beats South Alabama for Tennis Title

The UC Irvine men’s tennis team defeated South Alabama, 4-3, to win the 15th annual UCI Tennis Classic Saturday at the UCI Tennis Stadium.
Carlos Bustos, who did not play the past two days because of knee problems, defeated Kal Petersson, 5-7, 7-6, 6-2, to clinch the title.
Sophomore Julian Foxon won his 10th consecutive match, improving his dual-match record to 17-2.
The Anteaters, who won the title for the first time since 1988, improved to 11-8.
