Kingdom Found Runs Off With $55,000 Allowance

Kingdom Found overtook Charts at the top of the stretch and drew away to a 7 1/2-length victory over Fanatic Boy in Friday’s $55,000 feature at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Kent Desormeaux, Kingdom Found covered one mile in 1:34 2/5. He paid $7.20, $4 and $2.80 as the slight favorite in the field of nine older horses. Charts faded to eighth.
Fanatic Boy, an 8-1 shot from Argentina, rallied from last to finish second and returned $7.40 and $3.40. Zaahi, the 3-1 second choice, was another half-length behind in third and paid $2.80.
Desormeaux, Santa Anita’s leading rider, had four victories Friday for the second time during the meeting.
