Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Collision

SUN VALLEY — A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided Friday in Sun Valley, killing the motorcyclist, Los Angeles police reported.
The crash occurred about 4 p.m. at Penrose Street and San Fernando Boulevard, said Valley Traffic Division Sgt. R. Leanderts. The truck made a left turn in front of the motorcycle and the cycle hit the side of the truck, Leanderts said. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
The identity of the dead motorcyclist was withheld until his relatives could be notified.
