WASHINGTON — President Clinton upstaged himself Saturday night on his announcement of a military strike against a Baghdad intelligence site.
A few minutes before his hastily arranged speech to the nation, the President got caught rehearsing the opening lines of his address over an open microphone from the Oval Office.
Clinton’s inadvertent speech preview was carried live on some national radio stations and in the White House pressroom.
