Subject Was Tragedy, Downey Was Excellent

For years I have good-naturedly read, cheered and jeered Mike Downey’s columns. However, as I read his account of the tragic end of young Mike Pulliam’s life (June 20), I realized Mr. Downey may have penned his most important work if even one young person will heed his somber plea to “please, be careful out there.”
