Tammie Green tied a course record with a career-best nine-under-par 63 to take a one-stroke lead after Saturday’s third round of the $500,000 LPGA Rochester International at the Locust Hill Country Club at Pittsford, N.Y.
Green is at 10-under 206 for the tournament, one stroke ahead of Kelly Robbins, who shot a 66.
Green started the day eight shots off the lead. But she said she has been playing well--finishing in the top 10 at her last three tournaments.
“I’ve been feeling a low round coming for a long time,” she said. “(Saturday) Everything kind of came together.”
Jenny Lidback and Nancy Lopez are tied for third at eight-under 208. Lidback shot a 72 and Lopez, the leader after the first two rounds, shot a 74.
Beth Daniel, Dottie Mochrie, Patty Sheehan, Barb Bunkowsky, Alice Ritzman and Nancy Scranton are at seven-under.
Sheehan, a three-time Rochester winner and defending champion, shot a 68.

Simon Hobday sloshed through the rain and caught first-round leader Jack Kiefer, promising a scramble today for the $157,500 winner’s share at the Burnet Senior Classic at Coon Rapids, Minn.
Seven golfers are within two strokes of the lead in the $1.05-million tournament at the Bunker Hills Golf Course.
Hobday, who trailed by two strokes after the first round, shot a four-under 68 for a total of 134.
