The Community Redevelopment Agency is conducting an informational meeting Wednesday about the July 1 election of Crenshaw-area representatives who will advise the agency about revitalization efforts.
Fifteen Crenshaw community members will be elected to a new Community Advisory Committee. The agency is seeking five absentee business property owners, five business owners and/or tenants, one arts representative, three community organization representatives and one residential property owner or tenant.
Residents, property owners and business people who attend a July 1 meeting will elect the 15 members.
At Wednesday’s meeting, redevelopment agency representatives and other city officials will provide an update of Crenshaw area plans. They will also discuss post-riot recovery programs, areas available for redevelopment and ask for suggestions about how Crenshaw could be improved.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be in the Community Room, Department of Water and Power, 4030 Crenshaw Blvd.
