TUSTIN : School Board Raises Students’ Bus Fees
- Share via
Bus fees are going up in September for students in the Tustin Unified School District.
The school board voted unanimously Monday to increase the annual transportation fee from $150 to $180. The $30 hike is necessary because the district expects a deficit in its 1993-94 budget, officials said.
Under the new rates, a second child will cost $180 a year, a third child $90, and a fourth child and other children of the same family will be free. But a $3 processing fee will be charged for the fourth child on.
Children from low-income families are eligible for a free or reduced fee, depending on their income levels.
