A teen-ager who pleaded guilty to throwing rocks at cars on the San Diego Freeway was sentenced Friday to eight years in the California Youth Authority.
The 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty last month to one count of mayhem, five counts of assault with a deadly weapon and 15 counts of throwing objects at vehicles. The boy and three other people were accused of throwing large rocks and chunks of concrete at cars from the center divider on the freeway near Artesia Boulevard on Dec. 21.
Two other people await trial in Torrance Superior Court in connection with the case. A fourth teen-ager fled the country before charges were filed, prosecutors said.
